JPH Architects Ltd was established in Mold in 1998 by John P Horden. The practice`s philosophy is to produce contemporary and affordable architecture which combines innovative design with functionality. In 2003 the practice moved to Rhyl and since then has been expanding its client base across North Wales & Chester.
John Horden - Partner
Formed JPH Associates in July 1998 having worked previously in a number of fields which include: private practice; international contractors; government organisations such as UKAEA, and BNF in the nuclear industry. He is experienced in industrial architecture and has been engaged as project architect on warehousing and process buildings which he has project managed from inception through to completion. His work includes project values of up to £7m. In addition, he has been commissioned to undertake a whole host of domestic and commercial projects ranging from domestic one-off housing through to nursing homes, hotels, and the conversion of listed buildings as well as retail and commercial developments. Trained at Brighton School of Architecture via an indentured course through George Wimpey Contractors, he has a depth of technical experience and detailing as well as contract and project management.
Robert Blount - Partner
Has worked for JPH Architects Ltd since 2003 when he became a partner. He has extensive experience and has worked in North Wales, Malaysia and Ireland. Robert brings a wealth of experience in the commercial and residential sector. He has been instrumental in gaining planning permission on our projects and takes the lead in this area. Robert`s key role is in the design and development of our projects and his particular interest is contemporary architecture and eco-design. Robert is a Code Assessor for Sustainable Homes and a certified Passivhaus designer.
